NISHABDH AKASH
curated by HIKERIDE
Stargazing Experience in Maharashtra
In a world full of noise, light, and urgency, we invite you to step into an evening of stillness.
Nishabdh Akash is a guided stargazing and nature experience in Maharashtra, near Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.
It is not a show.
It is not an astronomy class.
It is a slow, immersive encounter with the night sky — observed through telescopes, understood with gentle guidance, and experienced in the quiet landscapes away from city light pollution.
Here, participants reconnect with the sky as human beings have known it for thousands of years: by looking up, observing planets and stars, and spending unhurried time in nature.
Designed for beginners, families, and seekers of meaningful outdoor experiences, Nishabdh Akash combines stargazing, mindful presence, and rural darkness into one carefully hosted evening under the open sky.
What Happens Here?
We gather in a carefully chosen outdoor setting in rural Maharashtra, selected for its naturally darker skies and low light pollution.
Phones fall silent. Eyes adjust to darkness. The night sky gradually reveals itself.
This is a guided stargazing session, where participants are gently oriented to observe the sky — sometimes with the naked eye, sometimes through a Dobsonian telescope used for planetary and lunar viewing.
Nothing is rushed.
Nothing is performed.
You are not entertained. You are oriented.
Depending on the season and sky conditions, we may observe the Moon’s terrain, Jupiter and its moons, Saturn’s rings, or seasonal constellations visible without optical aid.
These observations form a simple introduction to astronomy for beginners while remaining rooted in quiet outdoor experience.
Each evening is shaped by the sky itself rather than a fixed program, allowing time for night-sky viewing, conversation, and stillness in nature.
This is not a public show. It is an intentionally small-group experience designed for meaningful observation, camping under the stars, and time away from city noise.
